Conductive velcro fasteners
The benefits of the familiar hook-and-loop fastener are well-known and also utilized in industrial environments: cost-effective, robust, flexible, and easy to handle. With a durable electrically conductive coating, it provides a good option for temporarily sealing openings against EMC and reopening them.
This is used, for example, in EMC tents, which are gaining increasing popularity for pre-compliance testing. However, conductive hook-and-loop fasteners can also be a practical solution in other applications such as interior construction, plant engineering, or for large enclosures.
Infratron offers hook-and-loop tapes made from polyamide with a silver coating. Common roll widths are 16 mm, 25 mm, and 50 mm. The tapes can be sewn, stapled, or glued to the substrate. The height in the closed state is approximately 3.2 mm.
