Sullins and its German representative Infratron present a completely new series of their proven edge card connector family. Instead of a solder, wire-wrap, or additional card-edge connection, this new series features an IDC (Insulation Displacement Contact) connection for flat ribbon cables (AWG 26-28, pitch 1.27 mm).
The new connectors are suitable for 1.57 mm PCBs and are available with 10 to 80 contacts, with optional strain relief or mounting ears. Various material combinations are offered to cover temperature ranges from -65°C to +125°C / +150°C / +200°C / +250°C.
All variants meet UL94V-0 standards and feature 30 µm gold plating on the PCB side and 10 µm gold plating on the IDC side. The operating specifications are 150 VAC / 1 A and 5,000 MΩ / 30 mΩ. A minimum cycle life of 500 cycles is guaranteed by the manufacturer.
